This course took my understanding of the camera to a whole new level and was very useful in helping me get better at portraiture. I loved this course.

This course showed me how much I love portraiture, and gave me the understanding to better capture the personalities of people. I learned how to use an off-camera flash and softbox to create different kinds of lighting – an awesome skill to have! I began shooting photos in RAW, and learned great photo editing techniques and workflow. Digital Photography 2 pushed me more than Digital Photography 1, but it was totally worth it! I highly recommend the online course to anyone who cannot take it in person.

    :

This course is by far my most favorite course at IPS. Digital Photography 2 allowed me to push past the limits of technical knowledge of the camera to artistic thought–this is the course that teaches you how to be an artist. I highly recommend DP2 for anyone who is ready for professional images, not just vacation snapshots (or “happy snaps”). The lessons are straightforward, clear, and thorough in content. Mr. Gillson was quick in answering any of my questions, and I could sense from him a real desire to see me grow and become a professional at my craft. I will admit, I was a little hesitant at first when I saw the course required flash-work. If you’re a natural light photographer like me, flash might give you the shudders. But the skills I learned using the flash on- and off-camera were some of the most useful skills I learned from the entire course.

As a whole, the Digital Photography 2 course is top-notch, and I highly recommend it.
