IPS Photo

Welcome to PhotoEx!

PhotoEx is short for Photographic -expedition; -excursion; -exceptional; -extravaganza; -extraordinaire; -experience; -etc… you get the idea! A PhotoEx is designed to bring a small number of students together with qualified instructors for an intense discipleship opportunity in some of the most remarkable places in the world. We host two different types of PhotoEx adventures: Tours and Workshops.

Each year a PhotoEx Tour journeys to a different European destination. These Tours are designed for photographers who have come through other IPS workshops and want to broaden their life experience by traveling abroad with other Christian photographers. We take care of the details and put you in the right places at the right time to create amazing images, all while learning about history, culture, and God along the way.

Our PhotoEx Workshop is another experience entirely. Every two years we embark on The New Zealand Experience, a month-long workshop in New Zealand and Fiji that is designed to train photographers in cross cultural and missions photography. Students are pushed to the edge photographically, physically, spiritually, and emotionally as we keep up an intense schedule of travel, photography, post production, and 24/7 community living. This adventure is not for the faint of heart!

Here at IPS, we believe that international travel promotes important development for the soul of a person. To experience far corners of the globe in person and through a lens is a far different learning adventure than reading a book or blog. Our PhotoExs are designed to help grow the soul of our students, even as we continue to explore the wonders of photography.
